One Off House
The dream of building our own home was realised in 2016 with the familiar team of building contractors www.triurconstruction.com and engineer Gabor Molnar.
While plan A had completed several new build projects prior to commencing our own, we found being both the designer and end user a new experience, which gave us a fresh perspective on the process of self building.
Our intention for the house was to create a functional family home that would make the most of the infill site.
A storey and half design is utilised to assimilate the house into the character of the area.
The house is laid out to maximise on the natural light and solar gain to the front of the property and to also emphasis the connection to the outside garden space.
Passive house principles were strictly followed throughout with a PHPP calculated heat loss of just 11W/M2 and an air tightness test result of 0.45ACH.
