Budget Review and Tender Process

During this stage of a project a set of tender drawings and documents are prepared with input from the design team.  These documents will allow for an estimate build cost to be prepared by the Quantity Surveyor, ensuring that the budget is on track before progressing further.  Adjustments to the specification or the scope of work can be made at this stage if necessary.  Subsequently the tender drawings and documents can be issued to a number of contractors for competitive pricing. An evaluation of the tender responses and negotiations with the contractors are carried out by the design team leading to the appointment of the successful contractor.  This tender process ensures the best value appointment can be made.  Plan A usually co-ordinate the design team on your behalf during the Tender process.

Contract Administration and Project Supervision

Following post tender negotiations with the recommended contractor and the subsequent appointment of a contractor the client will be in a position to enter into a Building Contract.  We can prepare the standard form building contract and a full set of contract drawings. Regular site visits will be carried out to inspect works during construction.  On completion a full snag list will be drawn up and followed up on with the building contractor. Subsequently release of any retention fee will be arranged at the end of the defects liability period.
